Considered the most unique and prestigious event of its kind in Australia for under 35 year old classical pianists, the Australian National Piano Award 2014 has a winner. Alex Raineri (first prize); Daniel Le (second) and John Fisher (third prize), plus more was on offer for the pianists last night.

Alex Raineri (QLD) was award first prize, followed by Daniel Le (VIC) and third prize was awarded to John Fisher (QLD). Plus more prizes were presented as follows:

Tonight, Saturday September 13 marks the final round of recitals by our top three pianists; John Fisher, Daniel Le and Alex Raineri. They are performing to a packed house tonight with ABC Classic FM recording every note which will be aired around the country on Sunday afternoon September 14.

We sat in the auditorium, waiting patiently for the adjudicators verdict as to who would be going forward and play in tomorrow's Grand Finals.
